From design, to supply and to installation
Miller Signs and Interpretation were commissioned to carry out the design, supply and installation of this interpretation signage project. The project’s primary aim was to enhance visitor and community awareness of the heritage values of Wollongong Harbour.
These heritage values stem from a long history of maritime industrial activity commencing in the early 1800s. Our staff loved working with the convict era recycled Ironbark timber posts (pictured below), a fascinating historical aspect of the project.
Our aim for this project was to attract, engage and inspire visitors to learn and connect with the site
Miller worked with key stakeholders to identify the unique and special qualities of Wollongong Harbour, we interpreted these stories to enrich the visitor learning experience.
The natural environment of Wollongong Harbour is harsh, therefore the materials we selected for the panels and fixtures had to be extremely durable and long lasting.
