Our Environmental Responsibilities

We recognise that all industrial processes have the potential to cause environmental harm and that the world does not have unlimited resources.

We have made a conscious policy decision to explore avenues open to us that can reduce or eliminate the environmental impact created by us as a company.

We aim to achieve continual environmental improvements through our Environmental Management System, with clear objectives and targets to minimise our environmental footprint. We do this by working with our staff and our stakeholders to implement pollution prevention and waste reduction practices and also aim be a role model for others to follow.

Our Environmental Management System applies to all its operations and services. Staff in every department are expected to comply with the spirit of this policy in the context of the department in which they work.

Environmental Management System

Miller has in place an effective Environmental Management System which incorporates our four main areas of business, these include:

• Administration – Our Customer Service and Sales Offices
• Pre Production – Our Art Room
• Production – Our Printing Area
• Post Production – Our Hardware Production and Dispatching and Receiving of Goods

Throughout all areas of the business, Miller is continually reviewing ways to ensure its water, energy and materials use are as effectively and efficiently as possible.
Miller’s documented procedures for managing, investigating and reporting environmental incidents are outlined in our Quality Assurance System policy, with utilisation of non compliance reports.

Quality Assurance

All activities required to complete our work successfully are documented in our Quality Assurance Workplace Policy and Procedures, which incorporates checklists, inspection and verification points and standards.

Miller has in place a Quality Management System, to ISO 9001 International Standards, which ensures that customer’s orders are produced to meet their exact requirements and to a high and consistent quality.

Our Social and Community Responsibilities

Where we can, we provide our products at reduced prices to local community organisations, not for profits and schools. We believe that by giving back to community we reap the benefits in terms of community strength, education and cohesion, after all, it’s all about the type of community we want to live in!

We also strongly believe in sharing our knowledge and skills, so use our discretion to work pro bono in a consultative and advisory role for local community groups. This sharing of knowledge, goes a long way to achieving projects that everyone in society and our natural environment can benefit from.

We have long been an integral part of the interpretation family here in Australia. Miller are members and supporters of Interpretation Australia (IA). We are honoured to sponsor IA and attend IA conferences to further foster our professional relationships.
